Money Tree / Pachira — 5-leaflet leaves = 5 Feng Shui elements। Braided trunk luck trap करता है। Non-toxic, pet safe। Money Plant (Pothos) से अलग है।
Money Tree (Pachira aquatica) is one of the most popular Feng Shui and gifting plants in India and globally — its distinctive braided trunk and hand-shaped compound leaves create an instantly recognizable silhouette that has become a symbol of good fortune and financial prosperity. Native to Central and South American wetlands, Money Tree thrives in India's warm conditions and is one of the few large indoor plants that genuinely tolerates occasional overwatering — its natural habitat is seasonally flooded areas. The braided trunk (created by braiding multiple young stems together before they lignify) is not natural but an artistic cultivation technique that adds significant decorative value.

💧 Money Tree Care — India Specific
- Rotate regularly for even growth: Money Tree naturally grows toward light — rotate pot 45° weekly for symmetrical growth of all trunk branches. Without rotation, one side becomes dominant and the plant leans heavily toward the light source.
- Yellow leaves — most common problem: Yellow leaves usually mean overwatering or poor drainage. Despite tolerating occasional wet conditions, Money Tree prefers soil that dries partially between waterings. Ensure drainage holes are unobstructed and pot is not sitting in water.
- Maintain braid as plant grows: The braid near the top loosens as the plant grows. To maintain, gently continue braiding new growth when stems are still flexible — tie loosely at top with soft plant tie. Do not braid too tightly — damages the vascular tissue.
